Elderberry syrup supports the immune system to stay strong especially through cold and flu season. This is an age old remedy to use for the prevention and treatment of respiratory infections. This study from 2009 states, “that flavonoids from the elderberry extract bind to H1N1 virions and, when bound, block the ability of the viruses to infect host cells.” It’s great if you suffer from sinus congestion or infections or allergies. All round, this is an amazing immune support without being stimulating like echinacea. You can take 1 TBSP daily for good health. This syrup is sweet and slightly tart.
